PREPARing YOUR EVENT

A week before your event, we will contact you to have a call and define all the details. This way we can coordinate our staff, do the shopping, prepare the hall, in short... everything necessary to have the space ready and according to your specifications.

ACCOMMODATION

It will be necessary for you to inform us no later than 5 days before your event of the final number of people who will be staying with us (including staff) as well as the arrangement in the yurts. Based on this, the beds that your group will use will be prepared.

According to this information, the final payment will be calculated, which must be settled at least 2 days before the group's arrival via electronic transfer (including 16% TAX) or, upon the group's arrival in cash.

The bed distribution is as follows:

Eight yurts with 2 beds each (1 double + 1 single) = 16 people

Two yurts with two bunk beds, (1 double + 3 singles) = 8 people

One dormitory with 8 single beds = 8 people

Maximum capacity: 32 people

Once we are informed of the final number of participants, the organizer agrees to make the total payment for the event, understanding that if there is an adjustment in the number of participants due to last-minute cancellations, no modifications will be made to the final payment.

MENU AND KITCHEN SCHEDULES

At least FIVE days before your event we need you to share with us the times you require meals to be served, as well as the final menu to coordinate kitchen staff and ingredient purchases. We ask that you consider the following:

- Breakfast is served from 8:30 AM onwards

- In case your event ends after lunchtime, lunch will be served no later than 2:00 PM.

- Dinner is served no later than 8:00 PM

- The coffee break can be scheduled either mid-morning between breakfast and lunch or in the afternoon between lunch and dinner.

Sticking to these schedules allows the kitchen staff to have enough time to serve the group efficiently. Meals will be ready at the time you indicate.

IMPORTANT:

Please note that if your group is late for meal times, they will most likely have to wait for the food to be reheated.

In the particular case of dinners and the last meal the group will have before departing, we place special emphasis on punctuality. In case the group is delayed more than 30 minutes after the established time, there will be an additional charge of $1500 MXN to pay for the extra shift that the staff will have to work to serve the group.

Tips for both kitchen and maintenance staff are not included in the rental payment, so we suggest that at the end of the event participants be invited to leave an extra amount according to the service received. We suggest $50 MXN per person per night, although you can leave more if you consider it appropriate. This money will be delivered in full and distributed proportionally among the people who worked to serve the group.

information for the participant

These are some important points you should share with your guests before they arrive so they are aware of our conservation guidelines:

  1. To avoid generating waste and unnecessary expenses, we suggest bringing a water bottle. Filtered water will always be available in the kitchen, and we will have a large water dispenser available outside the hall for you to drink as much water as you like.

  2. Vision Quest is a NO SMOKING area except for the parking lot, where you will find a flowerpot in which you must place absolutely all cigarette butts.

  3. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the yurts, in the meditation hall, or in the dining area. If any participant is caught smoking, or if any of the yurts smell of cigarettes after the group has departed, a cleaning fee of $5,000 will be charged.

  4. Our toilets are biodigesters, meaning that bacteria at the bottom decompose organic matter, regenerating the water and returning it clean to the aquifers. Therefore, it is very important not to flush toilet paper, sanitary napkins, or any other waste down the toilets. All toilet paper should be placed in the trash cans.

  5. Our showers have hot water. Use as little water as possible when you shower. Be mindful that we are responsible for conserving water for seven generations to come. A shower should not take more than 10 minutes.

  6. Use the paths carefully. During the rainy season, the steps can be slippery, so walk carefully.

  7. Keep your sleeping and working areas clean. Remove your shoes upon entering your yurt and meditation hall, especially during rainy weather.

  8. At Vision Quest, we have a space dedicated to mindfulness and healthy coexistence. That's why we don't allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages or drugs on our premises.

general information

SCHEDULES:

Your group can arrive from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM.

CLIMATE

Valle de Bravo has a temperate sub-humid mountain climate with an average annual temperature between 18ºC and 22ºC.

Vision Quest is located in the upper part of the municipality, so the two seasons are very distinct:

  • The dry season runs from early November to late May. Winters are sunny, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 2-3°C during the early mornings of January and February. From March onwards, temperatures rise, bringing the dry warmth of spring, with highs of up to 28-29°C at midday.

  • The rainy season lasts from late May to late October. With the first rain, the forest transforms: the temperature cools, the fields bloom, and fireflies emerge. Mornings are generally sunny, and afternoons bring heavy rain. July and August are the wettest months. By late October, autumn fills the landscape with yellow flowers, heralding the arrival of monarch butterflies and the first frost, ushering in winter and the last rain of the year.
